Karen’s fitness expertise comes from the over twenty years of experience she has in the industry. She began her fitness career right out of college at a local fitness facility. She started as a Sales and Marketing Manager, but seeing a need for female trainers, Karen soon earned in Personal Training Certification through AFAA. Her true passion was found. Karen has worked with clients of all ages, enjoying creating programs for both the student athlete, and homebound senior alike. In an effort to continually challenge her clients, and help them achieve their fitness goals, Karen has joined them is 5K races, triathlons, and mud/obstacle courses. As a class instructor, Karen gives participants the same attention she give her personal training clients. She is committed to designing classes that are challenging and effective.

Karen is committed to educating herself on all aspects of the fitness industry. This desire has lead to her continuing education in TRX suspension training, G.E.A.R indoor cycling, Golden Hearts senior fitness and the Arthritis Foundation program instructor certificate.

Joanna grew up playing sports, whether it was basketball or volleyball in Spanish Harlem. She never imagined a career in fitness. After working in the Financial District in NYC, Joanna transformed from a marathon runner to a Personal Trainer. A mother of three kids and a wife to a chef, Joanna always found clarity and strength in fitness. She aims to make her workouts feel good from the inside out. Joanna wants her clients to feel powerful and happy about the work they are doing and what they are putting into. When Joanna is not training or instructing a class, she is either competing in CrossFit competitions, spending quality time with her children, adding morning runs with her husband or having long hikes with her dog Hazel.

Carlyle Myrie

Carlyle has always been involved in the fitness while growing up. After earning a bachelor’s degree in PHED, Carlyle played professional soccer for a few years before branching off into coaching. Carlyle’s passion to help individual on and off the field became his driving force to become a fitness instructor and he started earning coaching certificates towards that goal. The certificates Carlyle earned allowed him to work with various group; young, elderly, athletes and non-athletes. Today, Carlyle is a certified personal trainer, group and spin instructor, who continues to further his education in the fitness arena. He believes as a fitness instructors you can never stop learning and developing, and is focused on helping individuals maintain a healthier lifestyle. Whether it’s group or individual training, Carlyle has the ability to motivate individuals to perform to their greatest potential and ability. Leaving these individuals with a positive feeling knowing that they have accomplished their fitness goals. Carlyle is driven by his passion to help others no matter what level of fitness they are, whether it is a top athlete or everyday working people. Carlyle’s motto is: through hard work, dedication and time, all goals set can be achieved.

Arianna Cesa

Arianna is certified in Booty Barre Plus and Booty Barre Flex and Flow, as well as Aerial Yoga and Piloxing. She has a background in dance and has been teaching Barre for 3 years. Arianna’s classes are upbeat, challenging and not your typical Barre class. This class works to create long, lean muscles through Pilates, ballet, cardio and body weight exercises. Each class is a full-body workout and will incorporate a mixture of light weights, Thera-bands, Pilates balls, Barre and floor work.

Sharon Souflis

Sharon has been a certified personal trainer since 2008, Mad Dogg Spin instructor since 2012, & TRX certified since 2013. Sharon teaches HIIT, SPIN, and various other classes. Her workouts are a balance of cardio, weight lifting, and body weight exercises. Sharon pushes her clients to work hard & have fun at the same time. She enjoys helping clients reach their fitness goals, no matter what their fitness level may be.

A busy mom of 2 boys with a non-fitness full-time job, Saffit believes in maximizing your gym time with challenging and addicting workouts – get in, DO WORK, get out! Saffit joined our team in January and brings her fitness passion to Pulse with Spinning, 30/30 Total Body Interval, and TRX Conditioning classes!
